Visix, Inc. is pleased to announce that founder and Chairman
of the Board, Ed Matthews, has been inducted into the first ever rAVe
[Publications] AV Hall of Fame.
“I’m extremely honored,” says Matthews. “It’s a huge
compliment, not only to be recognized for my work, but to be included in such a
distinguished group of AV visionaries.”
The Hall of Fame honors innovators who have shaped the AV
industry. The list of inductees will grow each year, and honorees will be
recognized annually at the AV industry’s premiere event, the InfoComm trade
show held in June.
“Ed Matthews is a well-respected, much- loved, long-time AV
veteran. He’s pretty much a staple in industry,” says Gary Kayye, founder of
rAVe [Publications]. “Ed has been active in the AV industry since 1967 and he’s
most proud of his work on the AV broadcast center at four different Olympics
sites (Atlanta, Nagano, Sydney and Salt Lake City). He was the co-founder of
Technical Industries, once the biggest AV company in the Southeast and served
as a volunteer on the inaugural CTS-Installation and CTS-Design committees.”
