SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearOne [NASDAQ: CLRO], the leading global provider of audio and visual communication solutions, has compressed the power, security, and dependability of its professional wireless microphone systems into the incredibly small form factor of the new DIALOG 20.
Chock full of innovative features, the compact two-channel DIALOG 20 amps up the market reach of ClearOne's wireless microphone product line by empowering smaller venues on smaller budgets needing smaller numbers of mics — such as training rooms, presentation venues, and offices — with access to the highest-quality audio.
"Good things come in small packages, and no pro wireless microphone system exemplifies this better than the new DIALOG 20," said Durai Ramachandiran, ClearOne's Senior Director of Product Line Management for Pro Voice and AV Distribution. "DIALOG 20 incorporates flexible features and multiple options usually available only in much larger systems. Factor in its ease of setup, ease of use, adaptability, and affordability and suddenly you have a system that's perfect for everything from a classroom to a huddle space."
Leveraging the full power of ClearOne's robust, adaptive frequency-hopping "spread" spectrum technology within the 2.4 GHz unlicensed spectrum, DIALOG 20 owns several advantages over fixed-frequency transmission. Its power-packed design is inherently resistant to narrowband interference because it uses a pseudo-random sequence to switch frequency; this makes frequency-hopping signals extremely tough to intercept. The use of 128-bit AES encryption on each hopped frequency further secures the wireless audio transmission.
"Use of the unlicensed spectrum enables DIALOG 20 users to employ the same model with the same frequency plan worldwide," Ramachandiran noted, "without having to concern themselves with regulatory frequency restrictions or limitations by locale or country."
He added that while DIALOG 20 works seamlessly with all commercially available mixers, it boasts additional features when natively interfacing with ClearOne's new CONVERGE® Pro 2 or new Beamforming Microphone Array 2. These features include powering DIALOG 20 receivers from a CONVERGE Pro 2 mixer or Beamforming Microphone Array 2, as well as daisy-chaining up to three DIALOG 20 receivers.
Receivers may be mounted on a rack shelf, a wall, or a ceiling, and are easily configured and monitored using a software application. DIALOG 20 comes equipped with an integrated antenna and offers an option to extend the antennae up to 25 feet away.
The DIALOG 20 also features four transmitter options: (1) handheld, (2) belt-pack, (3) gooseneck podium, and (4) tabletop version with programmable buttons — along with several additional options for each transmitter type.
