With the companies’ joint expertise and technological know-how the booth themed as “joining forces” will showcase the latest within LCoS and DLP® ReaLED™ projection technology.
Cutting-edge contrast ratios
Barco’s latest addition to its flagship SIM 7, the Barco SIM 7Q HC, incorporates the brand new ‘generation 2013’ LCoS technology boosting a native contrast ratio of up to 40,000:1 and a total dynamic range of 20 million:1, thus enabling the SIM 7Q HC series projectors to display very realistic night scenes with black levels invisible to the human eye. The SIM 7Q HC projector will be shown in the dedicated IR room on the Barco/projectiondesign booth.
Most versatile IR LED projector for Night Vision Goggle simulation
projectiondesign also showcases its 4.1 Megapixels FS35 IR LED projector with its brand new 2013 IR ReaLED™ technology – boosting a significantly nine times higher intensity in the Infra-Red light compared with its predecessor. Its new motorized optical IR filter ensures optimal flexibility and an exceptionally realistic and effective Night Vision Goggle Simulated (NVG) training. The FS35 IR provides 100.000 hours uninterrupted light output, unrestricted installation flexibility and is vowed as the most powerful, reliable and cost effective solution for day and night training.
IR option on all projectiondesign F35 series of projectors
Additionally, projectiondesign has developed a motorized optical IR filter that offers improved black levels during NVG simulated training, while maintaining the brightness for daytime training scenarios. The filter is available for the full projectiondesign F35 range of single-chip DLP® projectors.
Dedicated optics for training and simulation
Another introduction is the new range of high contrast lenses for superior IR performance. The NV43 and NV46 lenses are all-glass designs with an optimized IR coating which significantly improves the IR transmission at 850nm with more than 300% higher brightness and contrast than regular lenses. A new projectiondesign EN47 0.65:1 short throw lens is also available for crisp and clear imagery at wqxga resolution.
