VuWall controls massive digital signage wall for modern hospital in the heart of Munich
Challenge
The ISAR Klinikum hospital distinguishes itself by combining state-of-the-art technology and innovative medicine, combined with personal care and a modern environment, to ensure the best possible care for its patients. As such, the ISAR hospital was seeking to launch a digital signage initiative with state-of-the-art technology, to serve as a visualization experience for its patients and visitors for various events including live events, teaching, marketing and entertainment. The video wall needed to impress audiences and be flexible enough to display any type of content with high quality graphics and sound.
Solution
To meet the need of ISAR Klinikum, Cotive, a leading AV integrator for media technology systems in Germany, installed a large video wall system in the lobby. The video wall consists of 16 AG Neovo 55” PN55H displays, for pristine picture quality despite the varying lighting conditions. They also selected the VuWall VuScape video wall controller, for managing and controlling video wall signals and content. In addition, a Crestron CP3 media control, Bose MA12 speakers with Bose MB4 subwoofer, an Extron amplifier and a Barco ClickShare were installed.
Results
Today, the hospital has versatile uses for the video wall system. In addition to using it daily as a welcome screen, for branding, and for patient information, it is also frequently used for live events, like special congress meetings, festivals, concerts, and even films. For teaching, the wall is used for PowerPoint presentations and even live streaming surgeries directly from operation rooms. Audiences continue to be amazed everyday and are regionally recognized for pioneering this technology in healthcare.
