The KA-EN200G is an H.265/HEVC streaming encoder that provides high compression efficiency when used with JVC's CONNECTED CAM™ camcorders.

HEVC is far more efficient than the widely-used H.264/AVC compression standard. Inserting this adapter into the expansion slot of GY-HC500/550 and GY-HC900 camcorders enables HD streaming using the H.265/HEVC codec. This results in higher quality images with reduced bandwidth up to 50% savings and lets producers use 10-bit 4:2:2 rather than typical 8-bit 4:2:0 sampling.
